Who is who

Munavvirit by Sarventicis an app for parents and guardians at schools that use Sarventic’s school management system. Sarventic makes the app and runs the software.

Your child’s school is responsible for your family’s records. The school decides what it keeps, for how long, and who at the school may see it. It also creates your sign-in — you cannot register yourself, and nobody can sign up on your behalf. If you have a question or a request about anything in the app, ask the school office. They are the right people, and they are the only people who can act on it.

What the app does with your information

The app reads from your school’s system. It is what it sends and receives:

• Your sign-in.The phone number or sign-in ID the school gave you, and your password, are sent to the school’s server to sign you in, and again if you change your password. Your password is never stored on the phone as you typed it.
• Your own children’s school records.Attendance, timetable, exam dates and results, classwork marks, fee bills and receipts, and the child’s own profile — name, class, date of birth, blood group, address and your relationship to them. Only the children linked to you at the school.
• A child’s photograph, when the school holds one, fetched from the school’s server to show on screen.
• Your school’s name and logo, looked up from the school code before you sign in.

Everything above travels between your phone and your school’s own server, over an encrypted connection. It is not sent anywhere else.

What the app does not do

• No advertising, and nothing about you or your children is sold or shared for marketing.
• No analytics or tracking. The app does not measure what you tap or which screens you open.
• No third-party services beyond the framework the app itself is built with. There is no advertising network, no analytics service and no social-media component inside it.
• No location. The app never asks for it and never reads it.
• No contacts, no microphone, no camera.
• No messages. The app reads your children’s records and lets you change your own password; there is nothing else you can write to the school through it.

Nothing about your child is kept on the phone

Marks, attendance, fees, the timetable and photographs are held only while the screen showing them is open. The app keeps none of it on the phone — photographs included, which it holds in memory only — and the school’s own server marks every reply it sends to tell the phone’s network cache not to keep a copy either. Every screen loads fresh from the school each time you open it, and if you close the app or it locks, that information is gone from the phone and has to be fetched again.

Two things are kept: your school’s code, so you do not type it each time, and — only if you choose it — your saved sign-in, described next.

Fingerprint and face unlock

You can choose to save your sign-in on your phone so that a fingerprint or face check opens the app instead of your password. It is offered once after you sign in, and you can say no; you can turn it on or off later under Account.

The check is done by your phone, not by us.Your fingerprint or face never leaves your phone and never reaches the school or Sarventic — the app only asks the phone’s own security system whether it recognised you, and is told yes or no. The saved sign-in itself is held in the phone’s hardware-protected store and released only after that check.

One thing worth knowing before you turn it on: anyone whose fingerprint or face is set up on this phone— a family member who added theirs, for instance — will be able to open your children’s records. On a shared phone, “Not now” and typing your password is the safer choice.

How access ends

• The app locks itself after twelve minutes without use, and the moment you switch to another app. Getting back in needs your fingerprint, face or password.
• Signing out removes the saved sign-in and the record of your choice from the phone.
• The school office can remove your login.Access then stops straight away on every phone you are signed in on — the next thing the app asks the school for is refused — and a saved sign-in stops working the next time it renews.

Removing your account, and what stays

Your login belongs to the school, so the school removes it. Ask the school office and they will remove your sign-in. Once they have, the app and the portal refuse you, and no saved sign-in on any phone will work.

Your child’s school records are not removed with it.Attendance, marks, fee receipts and the school’s record of who a child’s guardians are belong to the school, are kept under its own policy and under the rules it must follow, and are not a parent’s to erase. The office can tell you what it keeps and for how long. Your name, phone number and email are also kept as the school’s contact record for your family — and so that the office can give you a login again if you ever ask.

How long things are kept

Retention is your school’s decision, written into its own policy — Sarventic does not set it and does not decide it for a school. On the phone itself, as above, nothing about a child is kept at all.

Asking a question, or making a request

Go to the school office.Whether you want to see what the school holds about your child, correct something that is wrong, have your login removed, or ask how long records are kept, the school is the party that decides and acts, under its own policy and the law that applies to it. Sarventic supports the school’s system and cannot change a school’s records or answer for a school’s decisions.

About the app itself, write to us. For anything about the app and how it handles information — this notice, what the app sends and receives, how a saved sign-in is kept — email the Sarventic Team at info@sarventic.com. We answer for the software. We cannot see, change or delete what your school holds about your child, so a request about the records themselves still goes to the office — and if the school needs our help to answer you, that is the address it uses too.

Changes to this notice

If what the app does with information changes, this page changes with it and the date above changes too. The version in front of you is the one that applies.
